Welcome.

It’s all about people–nurturing our wild nature, designing pathways to more abundant living, and supporting flourishing communities.

WildWay is a social permaculture practice that supports personal growth and collective impact, by reconnecting our human nature to the rhythms, feedback loops, and wisdom found in …nature nature!

Social Permaculture reimagines a framework for thriving ecological systems, as a modality for thriving human systems. Because the principles and patterns observed in nature are universal models of growth, cooperation, regeneration, and responding to change. And this isn’t a new idea at all.

The language might be new, but the knowledge is ancestral.

The term ‘Permaculture’ is a modern mash-up of permanent and agriculture (or culture). The practice–as we know it–was developed by Australian ecologists: Bill Mollison, and David Holmgren in response to the global energy crisis during the early 1970’s.

It called for land and resource management that applies patterns in nature and indigenous science, in order to support a resilient, biodiverse, sustainable future for the planet, and its occupants.

However, while indigenous science and methodology was valued and replicable, the energetic and relational connection with nature was left behind.

Restoring that intangible connection–the intuitive understanding and unspoken knowing–is a powerful remedy for our current global [human] energy crisis.

Hey! I’m Erica – Designer, Writer & Nature Nerd.

I initially became a certified Permaculture Designer to integrate my love of many things, into a creative, fulfilling work that supports the environment, and others. But around the same time, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that challenged my mobility, and changed how I thought about my relationship with the practice.

It was during one the most challenging seasons in my life, that I learned how to let the earth care for me.

Rather, I learned how to be still and observe the ways that nature models care and regeneration within the ecosystem of my yard. And that made me wonder how I can mirror, or duplicate that abundant peace within me, and extend it to others. What would it look like to rewire, and re-wild our inner being?!

So, after experimenting with my own inner landscape, and spending a year as my own Permaculture site, I’m integrating 20 years of experience as a Visual Designer, Project Manager, Mentor/Educator; along with 40+ years of curiosity, and relational experience … to walk, chat, and grow wild things with you.
